After many years serving the public as a civil engineer, Rex Nichelson established himself as a private consultant. In 1982, G Rex Nichelson, Jr., Consulting Engineer was formed to provide expert testimony in fields related to highway and railroad grade crossing intersection safety, adequacy, design, funding, arbitration and FELA matters.
After developing a clientel strictly by word of mouth, Forensic Technologies, Inc. was formed in 1989 with Rex as
president and Franklin M. Fisch as vice-president. Frank's background as a mechanical engineer with design experience helped expand the services offered by the firm. George L. Reed became associated with FTI as a special consultant to address issues in his area of expertise: highway design and construction signage.
In 1992 the firm began doing business as Transtech Group and in 1996, TransTech Group, Inc. was born. TTG
offers many services and offers expert analysis and testimony in various areas. TTG makes use of exhibits whenever applicable to help illustrate technical ideas and relationships. All exhibits are based on and supported by calculations and analysis. Litigation Support Services provides video editing and compositing services and they are familiar with the methods and the sensitive nature of video exhibits. Legal Visuals, Inc. provides models for applicable circumstances.
